Brown hare

A few more photos from this morning - thanks to Chris Ray. First up was a song thrush.

And secondly a well camouflaged brown hare.

lovely photos, its a while since I've seen a song thrush, though I do hear them sometimes. Not see a hare for a while either, though wouldn't expect to round here!

As you probably realise by reading my blog - I adore brown hares. I particularly like this photo as it shows the hare in an unusual position for a photograph - beautiful - as is the song thrush. We hardly ever see one here but always hear one in the Spring, so they are around.

There's something special about seeing. There are places round here where we can see them if lucky.

I'm hoping to see hares boxing this year - not seen that except on TV.
